Heart-Shaped Faces: What a Romance!

Although it is now more common for celebrities to have oval shaped faces, there was an era that the silver screen could not get enough of the heart-shaped face! It was a time of glamour, romance, and visual stimulation as silent pictures filled the movie screens! Beauties such as Clara Bow and Mary Pickford were the order of the day; in fact, early ladies’ journals of the time period published make-up techniques for making oval-shaped and round-shaped faces appear more heart-shaped!
Flattering Choices:

The chiseled cheekbones that normally come with this shape are beautiful features that models crave!  Highlight them with updos!

Set the stage for your face with sweetheart necklines (not to low!) and square or scoop necklines!

Cowl neck sweaters and knits are perfect for contrasting with the lines of your face!

Frame your face with cruled or even whispy straight tendrils but don't overdo it!  Show those cheekbones!

Go for a toussled look!

Less Flattering Choices:

Refrain from slicking your hair back in an onion!  It is not a style that flatters many faces and will make your face look too angular!

If you have thin hair, don't leave the house wihtout adding some volume with rollers or mousse or at least securing the pentecostal bum to give some height!

Steer clear of 1980's wildness!  Instead, opt for hairstyles from the 1920's that look beautiful with this shape!  Try a chignon or a toussled bun off to the left side of the base of your neck with some messy tendrils framing your face!
